John Klopotowski and Rave Tesar in concert
 · Hosted by John Klopotowski
Oakland-based jazz guitarist John Klopotowski and his longtime musical partner, pianist Rave Tesar, celebrate the release of their new CD, Dedicated.

John and Rave have been performing together since 1975 when they were both growing up in Northern New Jersey. They performed regularly and appeared as featured artists on the Monday Guitar Night program at Gulliver's Jazz Club in West Paterson. John also performed at that time with jazz trumpeter Thad Jones and then went on to work with tenor saxophonist Warne Marsh in New York, in addition to leading his own groups. Rave was very busy in jazz groups with his brother Bill on drums, and also went on to become keyboardist and musical director for the band Renaissance, a gig that is ongoing.

The Berkeley performance will present an intimate duet setting that promises both swinging jazz and quiet music for contemplation.
